Here’s what you need to know about Uptown

CAROLINE STREET

Construction begins September 8th on Caroline Street.  Construction crews will working on Caroline, between Erb and Allen until mid-December. During this time, portions of the road will be closed and detours will be posted. All of the work is for underground utilities, such as water and sewer mains, so they are out of the way of the rail line. When portions of the road are closed, access to local businesses, residences and EMS will remain open, but the road will be closed to through-way traffic.

KEY POINT – Portions of the road closed, no through-way traffic, for up to for four months.

ALLEN STREET

Construction along Allen Street, between Caroline and King, is scheduled for late-2014. More information to come following the work on Caroline.

KEY POINT – Portions of the road closed, not through-way traffic, late-2014.

SPURLINE

Crews will be on the existing CN Railway tracks, from King Street (Public Square) through Waterloo Park, clearing bushes and dirt to make way for the ION track work that will begin in 2015.

KEY POINT – vegetation and dirt will be removed and cleaned up along the Spurline.

KING* – Approx 2015
